Becoming Otondo: An Anthology of NYSC Travels Vol II features creative nonfiction and photographs by Nigerian creative writers and photographers who have observed the mandatory one-year service in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The contributors' voices are varied in approach but are all rooted in the journey motif and experiences of the scheme. The stories, however personal they may be, can also be read as a response to the questions about the Nigerian identity, unity, and the mutation of the English language in Nigeria.
