Professor Tom Adaba was the pioneer Director-General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, which oversaw the establishment and licencing of private television stations at the turn of the century. Before his assignment as DG, Dr Adaba worked extensively as a National Television Authority, NTA staff member. His career took him across the length and breadth of the nation, including a stint as the pioneer Principal of the Nigerian Television College, Jos.
