Having grown up hearing chilling tales about the Osu/Diala divide, Jide finds himself entangled in its realities when he falls in love with an Osu girl on campus, Agatha. His relationship is met with resistance, especially from Diala students, who warn him of dire consequences should he marry across the ancient caste line. Meanwhile, his closest friend and fellow Kegite club member, Ifedi, faces a similar ordeal. Deeply in love with Ruth — Agatha’s friend from Enugu State — he struggles against his family’s refusal to accept her due to her Ohu (servant) lineage, another layer of ancestral prejudice.
Together, Jide and Ifedi must confront the ghosts of tradition and fight for love in a society shackled by inherited beliefs.
