Saturday April 17, 2010 was Ash Saturday. Her flight back to Lagos, Nigeria was cancelled. Moments earlier, she had received a call that her husband of five years and eleven months had just made her a widow. He had died in the morning hours of Saturday in Nigeria. She was left to mourn with her daughter who received the news of her father’s demise on her fifth birthday.
